Our world in so many ways and in so many places, in so many hearts and in so many bodies, is crying out for healing and hope, help and wholeness.

As we enter into the home stretch of the election cycle, we place our confidence in the power of prayer, contemplation, and wise discernment, trusting that we citizens will elect the candidate whom the country most needs at this time.

The Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids and the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) invite you to contemplative prayer during National Elections in our country.

LCWR has created this virtual prayer space to mirror the practice of adoration familiar to many. During those times we will pray for the discernment of delegates, voters, and elected officials; peace and non-violence in the process of nomination and election; and the transformation necessary for each of us in this time of polarization and division.

On election day, we Sisters will be having a contemplative day of prayer, with someone in chapel from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm. We invite you to join from your own homes, making use of the LCWR link.

May peace prevail and may God bless our beautiful nation.
