THE WORK OF MISSION

Our Sisters devote their lives to care for God’s people—a mission they further through the Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters Foundation.

Our work is making sure our neighbors have enough to eat, our friends have top-notch medical care, and our community members are safe, successful, and spiritually fed. Through grants that support this and other vital work—the work of mission—we respond as our Sisters have always done.

We are thrilled to partner with these organizations, our 2026 grantees, to further their efforts and move forward in mission.

Casa Angelica (Albuquerque, New Mexico)
A nonprofit care facility for individuals with complex medical and developmental needs whose families often cannot safely meet these needs at home.  (learn more)

Providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare for all, including those who are uninsured and under-insured, refugees, and immigrants.  learn more

Fresh Coast Alliance (Muskegon)
Helping transform the lives of those affected by incarceration and addiction, providing programming, coaching, and housing.  learn more

Immigration Law & Justice-Michigan
Promoting justice for immigrants and providing pro bono and low-cost immigration legal services to individuals and families.  learn more

Matthew’s House Ministry
Offering programs and services for men, women, and children to promote self-sufficiency and independence and help end the cycle of homelessness and poverty.  learn more

The Other Way Ministries
Supporting neighbors on the West side of Grand Rapids through education, food security, youth and family, and community programming.  learn more
