As current president of LCWR, Sr. Maureen accompanied Sue Ernster, FSPA, (president elect) and Rebecca Ann Gemma, OP (past president) and executive director (Carol Zinn, SSJ). This is LCWR’s annual visit and extends from March 18 – 22.
Sisters Maureen, Sue, Rebecca Ann, and Carol will be grateful for your prayer as they attend these meetings and speak on behalf of the conference.
While in Rome, they will meet with representatives of various Vatican dicasteries including those working with consecrated life, the doctrine of the faith, culture and education, the synod, bishops, communications, integral human development, and evangelization. They will also meet with the Vatican’s secretary of state and the US ambassador to the Vatican.
As in past years, LCWR will be hosting a reception for women religious in Rome. The reception this year will be held at the offices of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG). At the reception, the LCWR officers will be offering a presentation on some of the work in which LCWR has been involved over the past year.
