Help fill the food pantry shelves at St. Joseph the Worker and St. Alphonsus in Grand Rapids

The Dominican Sisters and Associates of Grand Rapids and Aquinas College are hosting a Food Drive to support two food pantries during Catholic Sisters’ Week: March 6-10. The two churches are St. Joseph the Worker and St. Alphonsus.

Here’s how you can participate:

DONATE non-perishable food or personal care items to the Uhaul truck which will be parked:

  • In front of Aquinata Hall Monday, March 6 – Thursday, March 9 | 3-7pm in the east parking lot off Lakeside Drive
  • Aquinas College, Friday, March 10 | 10am-4pm near the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center

DONATE MONEY Monetary donations are welcome; funds will be donated directly to the churches and can be sent to: Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids 111 Lakeside Drive, NE 49503. You can mail or drop off a check, please clearly designate that it is for the food drive.

VOLUNTEER at the UHaul truck at Marywood to accept donations on Monday March 6 -Thursday March 9. Volunteer time will be for a 2 hour time slot between 3-5pm or from 5-7pm.

ITEMS NEEDED
Tuna fish, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned diced tomatoes, pinto beans, black or red beans (in bag, not canned), canned vegetables, any pasta, rice-a-roni, any cereal, non-refrigerated juices (Ocean Spray), brownie mix, cake mixes, frostings, sugar, oil, pepper, mayonnaise, maseca, vinegar, size 5 or 6 baby diapers, any baby items. Personal care items (please bag separately from food items): body wash, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, shampoo
