Through the generous support of friends and community partners, the Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids announces the success of the first phase of a capital campaign to support the expansion of the Congregation’s local ministries.
Phase I of the Capital Campaign was led by a generous donation of $1M, plus an additional $500,000 challenge match, from the Wege Foundation. Additional funds were raised through the efforts of Campaign Co-Chairs Rita Kirkwood and Arnette Kraus, Honorary Chairs Susan Jandernoa and Elizabeth Murray, and a large campaign cabinet.
“Reaching this $4 million Phase One goal allows us to remain good stewards of this amazing 34-acre, wooded property in the heart of the City,” said Sister Maureen Geary, Prioress of Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids.
