Sue Schroder Remembers Sr. Sue Tracy,OP with Friends from Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids
Sister Sue Tracy had a gift for reinflating my newly-diagnosed-with-cancer numb newbie-self, and miracle of miracles, making me laugh.
Turns out I was among hundreds, maybe thousands, who learned from Sister Sue how to live with cancer — joyously and fully through the bad times and good.
With the support of Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, some of my fellow club members and I will share her legacy of hope beginning today through June 29 – the day she died a year ago.
The posts will appear on the blog I am launching today: Cope with Hope on https://copewithhopecanceredition.com/.

“If you wait, all that happens is you get older,” as Sue, a member of the Dominican Sisters Grand Rapids, wrote on her blog, toodooloosue.com.
I would add, “if you get lucky.”
