When Sister Donna Brown discovered that the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans didn’t have an altar cloth for the Lenten season, she contemplated the situation. She arrived home to Marywood and put out a successful call for an array of purple fabric. Seamstress Sister Lupe Silva volunteered to design and sew. Within days a glorious altar cloth was ready for delivery at Sister Donna’s next pastoral visit.

Thank you, Sisters and friends, for sharing treasure, time, and talent for the benefit of the veterans who so proudly served on behalf of peace and security in our world. Such a wonderful way to enhance Sister Donna’s pastoral ministry with the veterans.
