In the spirit of unity, the Dominican Associates invite all to Peace Prayer Intention 8-8-8.
At 8 o’clock on the 8th day of each month, take 8 minutes to pray for peace.
Choose what works best for you: 8 am or 8 pm, or both. Prepare yourself for a moment of contemplation: shut off the light in your room; light a candle; light incense; step outside and look skyward or focus on a natural splendor. Pray for peace. It doesn’t matter if your prayer is spontaneous, an old favorite, or something new. Pray for peace in unity with the Holy Spirit and our Dominican family.
In the spirit of unity and “recommitting our energies to deeper union with one another, our Dominican family, and all who seek Truth so that all creation may thrive and PEACE prevail,” we pray. In Jesus name… Our Hope. Our Love. Our Peace. Amen.
Recall that at this same moment, others are praying for peace too.
This initiative is from the Prayer Pillar Committee of the Dominican Associates, chaired by Bob Sadowski. The “8” aligns with the Feast Day of St. Dominic on Aug 8 and the birthday of the Virgin Mary. Please feel free to share your impressions and experience with Bob Sadowski. And, please, feel free to share the Peace Prayer Intention 8-8-8 with friends and family in your circle.
