Since 1999, Srs. Marguerite Cool and Jean Kramer have operated their ministry from a mobile base, a Winnebago modified to fit their needs. Our Winnebago now has a new home at Aquinas College. Aquinas College will be using the vehicle to meet the needs of diverse groups on the campus from the Education Department to sports teams.
Sisters Marguerite and Jean have gently taught, guided, and encouraged parents of children of all ages since they co-founded Partners in Parenting in 1999.
The Sisters have served more than 8,000 parents referred by area social service agencies, schools, and the courts, assisting parents in learning skills in managing anger, modeling positive behavior, discipline, coping with stress and many other challenges that parents encounter.
More recently, Partners in Parenting has been ministering from Dominican Center at Marywood. Since our campus is on the bus line, the rooms DCM offer a convenient alternative to the Winnebago classroom and eliminated vehicle maintenance costs.
We are pleased that Aquinas will be able to use the vehicle and send it off to with our blessings for safe passage and worthy opportunities for Aquinas College to expand its reach.
