“The Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids announce the new Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters Foundation,” says Sandra Delgado, OP, prioress of the congregation of vowed women religious.

Since 1877 when Dominican Sisters arrived in Michigan, the Word of God has inspired and called us to respond to the needs of the world through ministry. To further this legacy, we established the Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters Foundation. Being deeply rooted in our identity as preachers, educators, caregivers, peacemakers, and justice-seekers, the Foundation will make grants to organizations whose missions align with the Dominican Sisters’ values and with the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching.

The Foundation will seek to grow its funds for grantmaking and gratefully welcomes donors and friends of Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids to be among our first partners! If you would like to help us continue to minister to God’s people through the Foundation, please contact us.

The Foundation will support efforts that continue or expand our ministries, extending the impact beyond our lifetimes.

  • Education of children and adults
