On Monday, July 15, Dominican Associates celebrated the 60th Jubilee of Sister Agnes Mary Wojtkowiak. We attended the morning Liturgy with her at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Muskegon and then shared a delicious brunch and friendship.
Ten Associates who live in Muskegon, Associate Director Lisa Mitchell from Grand Rapids, and Sr. Ann Porter from St. Ann Parish in Frankfort enjoyed hearing humorous stories from Sr. Agnes about her early years as a new Sister as well as the beautiful stories of the relationships she has built with so many people in her role as a Pastoral Associate.
The celebration was coordinated by Associates Anita Rosenberg and Sally Tardani, who actually missed the event as she was volunteering at Sacred Suds that morning.
These Muskegon-based Associates meet regularly for Faith Sharing meetings near the lakeshore. We want all Associates and Sisters to know that you are welcome to join us whenever you can. Our next meeting is Sept. 19 from 11:00am-12:30pm. We meet in the former school building of St. Michael Parish at 1716 Sixth Street on the third Thursday of each month.
