Aquinas College freshman arrived for orientation in Grand Rapids this week. On Friday, Aug. 19, new students ventured off campus for their first day of service this school year. They participated in Project Unite: Love Where You Live,. an annual service day that is rooted in the Dominican charisms of service and community.
During Project Unite new students, orientation leaders, faculty and staff provide assistance to various local organizations. Students end the day in communal reflection and dinner.
The Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids treasure the hearts of service being formed in these Aquinas students who assisted at Marywood today. They worked on the Prairie Habitat at Marywood and painting one of our fences.
