God, Emmanuel, how blessed by Your LOVE are we.
Your grace flows freely through our veins.
It is expressed
in our care for each other
in our communities of heart and soul,
in our contemplation of your Word
in our courageous outreach
in our connections with diverse peoples
in our counsel with those searching
in our creation of new ways of being Church
in our cultural expansion and awareness
in our carrying the cost of Discipleship
in our conversations that honor diversity
in our cooperation with the Spirit of God
in our conversions that lead to Truth-telling
in our confession of faults
in our creative ways of being on Mission
in our contribution to seeking the common good
in our call to be the Body of Christ, broken and poured
in our compassion for all who are hurting and alone
in our choosing to speak and act nonviolently
in our calm acceptance of controversy and correction
in our chance encounters with “evil”
in our challenges as bearers of Good News
