On Sunday May 31, the MI NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice is hosting a Prayer Walk for Peace, Justice, and Dignity for Immigrants in Lansing, Michigan from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
The multi-faith event will begin with a welcome ceremony and continue with a public prayer walk grounded in solidarity with immigrants and refugees. Registration and additional information for the Lansing event can be found here.
In solidarity, the Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids will host a local Prayer Vigil for Peace, Justice, and Dignity for Immigrants in Marywood Chapel of the Word (111 Lakeside Dr. NE) from 1:00 – 2:00 pm — for those unable to travel to Lansing.
Our time will include a livestream of the opening ceremony from Lansing, along with prayer and reflection in solidarity with all those participating across the state.
Those wishing to attend the prayer vigil at Marywood are asked to register here. While we prefer in-person participation, when possible, all who register for the Marywood prayer vigil will also receive the Zoom link for the Lansing welcome ceremony. The zoom program will end after the livestream from Lansing.
