BioBlitz Event at Marywood Thursday, July 24

Calling all nature curious plant, bug, and bird watchers! We are seeking volunteers to help document plants and continue monitoring the effects of this growing ecological habitat on invertebrates, birds, and fungi.

Tap into wonder as you explore the many species living in and visiting the prairie.

Choose to participate…

as a Field Assistant, Data Collector, or a Technical Assistant. We will be using an app called iNaturalist to document our findings.

  • Field Assistant* – Assist Data Collectors in accurately identifying the species they’re uploading. Knowledge of invertebrates, birds, plants, OR fungi is important.
  • Data Collector – Notice species in the prairie (invertebrates, birds, plants, fungi, etc.), take pictures, and upload pictures into iNaturalist
  • Technical Assistant* – Assist Data Collectors with technical issues using the iNaturalist app, joining the project, etc.
