Tending the Call

Tending the Call

Contemplative Book Study for Practicing Spiritual Directors

Two Tuesdays per month via Zoom

Starting on Sept. 8 – Nov. 17, 2026

6:30 – 8pm EST

Cost: $125

Are you a spiritual director seeking deeper wisdom in accompanying others on their journey with God? This fall, join our community of Spiritual Directors online via Zoom as we explore

Spiritual Direction: Beyond the Beginnings by Janet Ruffing.

As our relationships with directees grow and change over time, so too, do the issues that arise in spiritual direction. In this book study, we’ll explore themes encountered in developing spiritual direction relationships, such as experiencing resistance (our own or the directee’s), helping directees to notice and express their desires in prayer, accompanying a directee whose theology might be different than ours, issues of transference and countertransference and more.

Whether you’re a seasoned spiritual director or just beginning, this study offers wisdom, space for shared reflection, prayerful conversation, and a sense of community among fellow spiritual directors.  Come listen, reflect, and grow in your call to spiritual accompaniment. We’d love to have you join us!

Tending the Call meets Tuesdays via Zoom at 6:30 – 8pm EST.
