“Compassion is a necessity, not a luxury.
Without it, humanity cannot survive.”
— Dalai Lama
Boundless Compassion is a transformative spiritual process developed by Joyce Rupp, inviting participants into a deeper way of living with compassion—for self, others, and all creation.
This retreat weaves together the wisdom of Boundless Compassion with the insight of the Enneagram, offering a powerful pathway toward self-awareness, healing, and spiritual growth.
Together we will:
- Explore compassion as a way of life
- Cultivate meaningful self-compassion practices
- Discover how your Enneagram type shapes your capacity for compassion
- Engage in reflection, prayer, and guided experiences
Through reflective teaching, quiet space, and shared connection, you will be invited to gently encounter your inner landscape while expanding your ability to live as a compassionate presence in the world.
Come as you are—and leave renewed, grounded, and more deeply connected to yourself and others.
Details
This retreat is for those who:
- Desire to grow in self-awareness and spiritual depth
- Are familiar with or curious about the Enneagram
- Long to cultivate greater compassion for themselves and others
- Are seeking renewal, reflection, and meaningful connection
Enneagram Test & Boundless Compassion Book
We will not be doing any Enneagram testing at the retreat.
We recommend that you do this beforehand if you don’t have a sense of how you identify on the Enneagram. We recommend the WEPPS test for its comprehensiveness and reliability. It is $15 and provides a detailed read out. The link is here: www.wepss.com
You do not need to have read or purchase Joyce Rupp’s book, Boundless Compassion, to participate in this retreat. If you wish to go deeper, the book provides further support for the work we will be doing in this retreat.

Sr. Mary Dean Pfahler
Sister of Notre Dame Mary Dean Pfahler finds joy in accompanying individuals and groups in spiritual direction, the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, and Boundless Compassion retreats. Kathleen Loughrige
Kathleen is a certified Enneagram Coach, Boundless Compassion facilitator, and ordained minister passionate about helping individuals grow in self-awareness, spiritual depth, and compassionate living.

With a heart for transformation, she creates spaces where individuals can reflect, heal, and grow—becoming a more compassionate presence in their relationships, communities, and everyday lives.
Sr. Kateri Schrems
“Our presence here comes from the presence of God in the world; what a blessing that each person is able to be that.” No matter what form “being with” takes, Sr. Kateri knows that being in relationship, being there for one another, is God’s wish.
