“As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you, live on in my Love.” -John 15:9

I was born and raised on a farm in Midland County along with my brothers, John and Bob. It was a great place to grow up working on the family farm, hiking in the woods seeing wild life, playing ball, and learning love for the land. I attended the same one-room country school as my Dad followed by high school in Midland. Then I worked at Dow Corning Corporation to earn money for college.

At Aquinas College I met the Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters. I thought I was doing something for God when I entered religious life, but I came to realize God was doing something for me. Religious life has been God’s gift to me along with the precious gift of my family.

I’ve loved my years of teaching both high school and college. I continue to connect with college students as a mathematics tutor and sharing of faith life through Advent and Lenten Retreats. I am grateful to my loving God, the support of family and friends, and the companionship and inspiration of my Dominican Sisters.
