Tending Our Call

Tending Our Call

for Practicing Spiritual Directors

Two Tuesdays per month via Zoom

Starting on Sept. 9 – Nov. 18, 2025

6:30 – 8pm EST

Cost: $120

Are you a spiritual director seeking deeper wisdom in accompanying others on their journey with God? This fall, join our community of Spiritual Directors online via Zoom as we explore Discernment: Reading the Signs of Daily Life by Henri Nouwen.

In this book study, we’ll walk alongside Henri as he illuminates how to listen to the movements of the
Spirit in the midst of everyday life. Drawing from scripture, spiritual tradition, and his own personal journey, Nouwen invites us into a deeper understanding of how discernment shapes our vocation, prayer, community, and decision-making.

This book, part of a trilogy edited by his longtime students Michael Christensen and Rebecca Laird, compiles Nouwen’s unpublished writings from his Spiritual Formation classes at both Yale and Harvard. We read the second book in the series (Formation) together last spring and we found it so rich and insightful, we decided to read the third one together as well, however you can certainly join without having read the previous books!

Whether you’re a seasoned spiritual director or just beginning your journey of accompanying others, this study offers wisdom, space for shared reflection, prayerful conversation, and a sense of community among fellow spiritual directors. Come listen, reflect, and grow in your call to spiritual accompaniment. We’d love to have you join us!
