P.A.U.S.E Retreat
for Practicing Spiritual Directors

Fellow Spiritual Directors,
Would your soul like a space to pause? Maybe a place to practice new ways of being curious? A place to hold yourself with affection, sense freshly, noticing what may be emerging or growing in you? Would you like to develop or expand your basket of ways to pause and notice with directees?
Join us for a day of discovery and play as we experience, firsthand, the gifts of P.A.U.S.E (Pause, Attend with Affection, Unhurried Curiosity, Sensing Freshly, and Emerging Edge). Throughout the day we’ll explore new resources to help us P.A.U.S.E, finding the ones that minister to us and the ones we each would like to add to our unique spiritual direction “baskets” as invitations to support our directees. Together we’ll experience how God can use picture books, listening stones, images, handheld labyrinths, and simple art supplies to help us open to God in new ways.
Come to this day-long retreat for spiritual directors to learn, share, play, and laugh together.

Facilitator
Sharon Leerar
Alongside Sharon’s work as a spiritual director and supervisor, she brings experience and expertise from her work as a teacher, restorative circle facilitator, and cognitive coach. She enjoys hosting and facilitating spaces where learning is shared and where participants embrace that we are all beginners and have wisdom to share. In addition, she likes to invite learners toward imagining and exploring creative yet practical ways to support those they companion.
Sharon is a lifelong learner who is currently working toward certification in Inner Relationship Focusing. She enjoys reading, knitting/crocheting, biking, board games and spending time with her family.
