How to Host

Group Spiritual Direction

 for Practicing Spiritual Directors

3 – 5pm EST

What is Group Spiritual Direction?

In the constant noise of our world it can be hard to find space to listen deeply to one another and experience being deeply listened to. Group spiritual direction offers the space to be quietly present to God and each other through deep listening, attentive noticing, holy pause and invitation to wonder while intentionally disciplining our impulse to fix and convince.

What will I learn in “Offering Group Spiritual Direction”?

How to Host Group Spiritual Direction is a praxis-oriented class that will teach currently-practicing Spiritual Directors to host the group direction space. You’ll learn how to create a group covenant, practice facilitating a group experience with your classmates, imagine how hosting group spiritual direction might fit into your own ministry and consider some of the challenges of group spiritual direction. By the end of the course, you will have a collection of unique hosting tools from your instructor and your classmates.

Our text will be *An Open Place* (Marlene Kropf & Daneil Schrock, editors) along with additional materials you’ll receive in class.

Come join this learning community of spiritual directors!
