Immigration issues and the masses of children crossing the border in the U.S. has seemingly been at the forefront of concerns felt by the Dominican Sisters in recent weeks. Yet on this first day of Dominican Days meetings, the Justice Committee, led by Sr. Mary Brigid Clingman, is also delving into other serious concerns in today’s world: human trafficking, care of earth and climate change.
The Ending Homelessness Committee, led by Sisters Aquinas Weber, Jarrett DeWyse, and Laurena Alflen, met to review West Michigan gains and ongoing challenges in the 10-yr quest to end homelessness.
