Community raises funds for Parkinson’s Disease fight and support.
“People living with Parkinson’s Disease can access more support thanks to “Hero Walkers'” fundraising efforts,” said Sister Phyllis Supancheck, who does live with the progressive disease.
The 2025 Grand Rapids Parkinson Hero Walk was on Saturday, October 11 at the Aquinas College Sturrus Building. “The community came together and exceeded their goal, raising $133,836.86!” an excited Sister Phyllis exclaimed.
The “Sr Phyllis Supancheck Superstars” team, which included some of our personal heroes from the Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids campus Marywood, raised $5,900!
