Encountering Saint Paul the Difficult with Fr. Seán Charles Martin

The Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids and Dominican Center welcome Fr. Seán Charles Martin, president of Aquinas Institute of Theology in Saint Louis, Missouri.

His presentation Encountering Saint Paul the Difficult ~ Did Paul Really Say That? is Saturday, Oct 7 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.

It is said that Saint Paul, authored more than 10 letters in the New Testament Letters that bestow a sacred wisdom that continue to challenge us to always seek truth. Fr. Sean will invite us to encounter Saint Paul, “for we find that Paul’s story and preaching reach deep into life’s questions today,” says Sr. Diane Zerfas, coordinator for the Spirituality Center for Dominican Center at Marywood.

Fr. Seán is a biblical scholar whose work focuses on the letters of Saint Paul. Educated at the University of Dallas and the University of Notre Dame, he holds the doctorate in biblical theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. His most recent publication is “New Testament Christologies” in the Anselm Companion to the Bible (Winona: Anselm Academic, 2014).
