Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me!

At 8 o’clock on the 8th day of each month, take 8 minutes to be part of a unified prayer for peace.

Choose what works best for you: 8 am or 8 pm, or both. Prepare yourself for a moment of contemplation: shut off the light in your room; light a candle; light incense; step outside and look skyward or focus on a natural splendor. Pray for peace.

It doesn’t matter if your prayer is spontaneous, an old favorite, or something new. Pray for peace in unity with the Holy Spirit and our Dominican family.

Recall that at this same moment, others are praying for peace, too.

This initiative is from the Prayer Pillar Committee of the Dominican Associates, chaired by Bob Sadowski. The “8” aligns with the Feast Day of St. Dominic on Aug 8 and the birthday of the Virgin Mary. Please feel free to share the Peace Prayer Intention 8-8-8 with friends and family in your circle.
