The Dominican Sisters~Grand Rapids celebrated the start of the Aquinas College academic year on Thursday, August, 30, 2018.
Sisters of the Congregation that founded Aquinas College delighted in welcoming AQ faculty and staff to this annual Back-to-College Picnic in the Pear Garden at Marywood.
More than 150 Aquinas friends joined Sisters to relax, catch up, and enjoy fellowship with one another. Aquinas President Kevin Quinn and Sisters Sandra Delgado OP, Joan Williams OP, Maureen Geary OP, and Megan McElroy OP led a communal prayer before dinner.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the work of faculty and staff and recognizing the many ways we collaborate as part of the Dominican family, the Sisters gave their blessing to all gathered: “We rejoice that, because of your efforts, our students are solidly prepared to be leaders of society committed to developing a sustainable and just global community.”
