Friends and Sisters filled the halls of Dominican Center last night, to celebrate ADVENTure 2019. Our annual festive fundraiser captured the spirit of the season, with twinkling piano music, bubbly refreshments, stellar cuisine, and joyful laughter and conversation.
“Whatever you did for my brothers and sisters, you did for me.” During her remarks,Prioress Sister Sandra Delgado cited this verse from Matthew, reminding us to consider how we nourish community in this time and place. As she urged us, “Now is the time to nourish all that is good in the world.”
Later, guests watched a short video describing the Dominican Sisters’ lifelong commitment to care for God’s people—mind, body, and spirit. You can watch, Called to Nourish, here, and please share it with your friends.
