SisterConstance Fifelski

The oldest of 11, my brothers and sisters and I grew up on a dairy farm run by our hard-working and faithful parents, Lucy and Steve Fifelski. That connection to growing and gardening has always stayed with me. In my young adult years, amid the upheavals of the 60’s and 70’s, including the exhilarating vision of Vatican II, change became the only reliable. Much of my life’s work has been in Catholic education, especially in leadership and administration.

All the places, with so many remarkable people, have had such an impact on me: Saginaw and Muskegon; Joplin and Kansas City, MO; Kalamazoo, Chicago, and for the last 12 years, Delton and Lacey. Incredible and numerous blessings have come to me through my religious community: so many inspiring women, such joyful companions on the journey, good friends, and many opportunities for study and growth. “How can I keep from singing?”
