Writing to Share Your Lived Wisdom: A Workshop Series

Writing to Share Your Lived Wisdom

~ A Workshop Series

Thursdays 3 – 5 pm

Sept. 4 & 25, Oct. 9 & 23, and Nov. 6 & 20, 2025

A hybrid offering: come if you’re local, attend via Zoom if you’re not.

Cost: $300

Do you desire to offer hope, humor, grace and resilience gained through your life experience with the younger generations in your life? Do you want to write about these things but don’t know where to start?

The stories you heard growing up helped shape your sense of relationships, enlightened life with humor, helped you endure life’s challenges, and aided you in shaping your values. If you’d like to inspire and encourage those that come after you in this way, come and find out how easy, enjoyable, and important this is!

This workshop series will give you space to consider what experiences and values to share and enable you to craft your writing using prompts, class interaction, and reflection. As you hone your stories, your confidence will build, enabling you to share your wisdom with grace and humor. You will leave with your written stories, perhaps in a published format, and the joy of having recorded what is important in your life to benefit the generations coming after you. This gift may provide guidance, laughter and courage for younger generations. Please note that this is not a memoir-writing workshop.

“The blessing that comes with tale-telling is the awareness that…

we have distilled our experiences to the point that

they can become useful to someone younger.”
