A hybrid offering:
Come if you’re local, attend via Zoom if you’re not.
Cost: Donation
Come to learn about a woman who was commissioned by St. Paul to bring his letter to Rome, St. Phoebe, a deacon at Cenchreae.
Female deacons have existed since the beginning of the early church. Women in leadership in Christianity has a complicated story and history, and is a discussion that we are continuing today because of its importance.
If you are interested in learning more about St. Phoebe, making some space to consider how you have encountered women in leadership in Christianity, or are passionate about the continual development of women’ leadership in Christian spaces, you are welcome to join us on the feast of St. Phoebe for fellowship, study, prayer, and action.
