All Creatures Beloved: A Gathering in the St. Francis Sculpture Garden

At the close of the Season of Creation, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis with the Annual Blessing of the Animals. The gathering will take place at the St. Francis Sculpture Garden on the Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters Marywood Campus. Together, we will honor St. Francis’s legacy of peace, simplicity, and kinship with all creation.

All are welcome to bring their pets—or a photo of a pet—for a special blessing. In addition to celebrating our animal companions, we will also recognize the ecosystems they call home and the fragile balance of Creation.
