“I cannot tell you
how the light comes,
but that it does.
That it will.
That it works its way
into the deepest dark
that enfolds you… And so
may we this day
turn ourselves toward it.”
~Jan Richardson, excerpt from “How the Light Comes”
Advent is a time to reconnect with the ancient longing for God to arrive, move among us, and restore all that’s lost or broken in our world.
Together let’s open our hearts to God and to each other during this season approaching the celebration of the Incarnation. Come and listen to well-known poets on this theme, as well as some you may not know. And feel free to bring a favorite Christmas poem you treasure and share it with us during an open reading time.
Leave the busyness of the season and join us for a special evening!
