Learn to Faithfully Navigate Conflict

Learn to Faithfully Navigate Conflict

Tuesdays, October 7 & 14, 2025

3 – 5 pm EST

Cost: $100

How do you respond to conflict in your daily life?

Do you find yourself avoiding it, feeling uncertain?

Or do you step in, but get stuck in a pattern of blame and defensiveness?

Jesus invites us to live with deep empathy and compassion—even in tension. The Holy Spirit invites us to enter the sacred space of conflict and return to one another, to love in the midst of discomfort.

Join us for a two-part gathering where we will reflect together on our habits of conflict and begin to learn a restorative practice shaped by deep listening, honest speaking, and mutual respect.

Whether it’s a small irritation or a larger decision, this practice offers a path forward. Rooted in the values of contemplation and right relationship, it is a way to stay centered in the Divine as we engage real-life challenges with grace and clarity.

Together, we will learn a simple framework: a few anchoring phrases and a process to help us navigate conflict faithfully, with the hope of growing in love and understanding.

Come as you are. No experience needed. Just a willingness to explore a more restorative way of navigating conflict.

Facilitator

Sharon Leerar

Sharon’s ministry as a spiritual director is enlivened by her experience and expertise in her work as a teacher, restorative circle facilitator and cognitive coach.  She enjoys hosting and facilitating spaces where learning is shared and participants embrace that all are beginners and have wisdom to share.

Sharon’s personal journey has been marked by significant challenges, including breast cancer and donating a kidney to her son.  Those experiences helped her lean into the gift of embracing both the highs and lows of life with an appreciation of mystery and deepened awareness of God’s faithfulness.

Her spiritual direction training was in West Michigan at the Dominican Center.  Further training for accompanying children and supervision was at the Companioning Center.  You can find out more about her at directionwithsharon.com.
