Our Ministries

Our ministries are as diverse as our Sisters. They work in fields of education, healthcare, social work, parish ministry. Among us you will find chaplains, attorneys, accountants, musicians, archivists, artists. Each Sister brings her unique God-given gifts and talents to her life of service.

We sponsor corporate or congregation ministries, as well. Our commitment to education, learning, and study at all life stages is fulfilled through our support of Aquinas College. We were the first Congregation of Catholic women religious in the United States to found a co-ed junior college. Also focused on study, we opened the doors of Dominican Center at Marywood 25 years ago to welcome people of all faiths to aspire and be inspired through faith formation as spiritual directors. Personal transformation through prayer, study, and community is the goal of all of our contemplative learning programs in this at our retreat and conference center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Dominican Sisters ~ Grand Rapids live and share the glory of the Gospel today in Michigan, New Mexico and other locations in the United States, abroad in Chimbote, Peru, and wherever we are called. Together we praise, bless, and preach God’s love through all that we do. Explore our ministries and ministry legacies below.
