For all that has been, thanks, and for all that will be, yes! And may I continue to realize each day all the blessings that surround me.
When I reflect on my life’s blessings I ask myself, “What did I ever do to deserve this?”
I was blessed with a loving family which includes my brother, Dave and sister, Mary. My parents, Helen and Lloyd (now in heaven) taught me much about loving God and all his children. The Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters who taught me at SS. Peter and Paul inspired me to consider religious life.
In 1962 I entered the community and have been blessed with many opportunities for higher education. I was a middle school teacher and then an elementary principal in the Saginaw, Grand Rapids, and Gaylord dioceses for a total of 34 years. Then, I became a certified chaplain through the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and ministered there from 1999 until Fall 2019.
I am energized daily by prayer, my community and the people with whom I share life.
