For the past five years, Dominican Associate Terri Sierzant has collected and delivered pajamas to at-risk youth living in residential homes at Wedgwood in Grand Rapids.

“These pajamas provide a comfort to these children and youth,” says Terri, whose servant heart for comforting children in need was inspired by her own childhood Christmas memories. “We didn’t have much. Yet every Christmas, the kids in our family received new warm pajamas. These gifts made us feel loved and special.”

New pajamas will be wrapped, delivered, and gifted to the children who live in residential homes on Wedgwood campus. There are 11 homes which provide 24/7 treatment and counseling. The children are treated for substance use disorder, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, sexual behavior issues, and girls receive treatment for trauma associated with the commercial sexual exploitation of children.

The deadline for making donations in dollars or new pajamas to Terri is Dec. 10. Please contact her directly for drop-off arrangements. Needed sizes include: Men’s Medium to X-Large sleep pants and shirts… and Women’s sizes Small to X-Large sleep pants, tops, and night gowns.
