Dynamic Speaker, well-versed in critical global warming and environmental issues will inform and inspire attendees about the Spirituality of Water - how it nurtures both our bodies and souls. She will connect climate change with human justice issues related to water.

Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America
 

The Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR)
announce the traveling museum exhibit, Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America, which debuted at the Cincinnati Museum Center on May 15, 2009.

Spiritual Formation Program: Fall 2010

  • Foundations in Spirituality: A serious reflective study of the saints and great spiritual teachers of the Christian tradition, the practice of contemplative prayer and the writing of and living of a personal Rule of Life.
  • Spiritual Direction Practicum: A practicum consisting of two years during which participants engage in the practice of Spiritual Direction while participating in both peer group and individual spiritual direction mentoring.
  • Spiritual Companioning: Program consists of one or two years of twelve sessions each year. This pastoral program is offered for persons in all walks of life who desire to hone their ability to companion others on the journey.
Dominican Prayer
 
A one-week opportunity to study and experience Dominican Prayer is being offered by the Dominican Center at Marywood in collaboration with Aquinas College of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The focus will be on Dominican Spirituality of the Word, living the Eucharist and praying with our new office book, Dominican Praise .
 
Adrian Dominican Sister Maribeth Howell will present a study of the psalms and how they are prayed daily. Grand Rapids Dominican Sisters Mary Kay Oosdyke and Diane Zerfas will also present. Mark your calendar for participation in this time of spiritual enrichment, which runs 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon daily from Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11, 2010. College Credit is available through Aquinas College with tuition fee.
Cost
Retreat stipend:                            $175.00
Room and board at Aquinata Hall   $125.00
