St. Paul's image of the Church as the Body of Christ portrays one of the best possible analogies of a religious community. Distinct people with diverse gifts, we come together as one in community, and offer those gifts through the boundless love of our Lord. Much like the human body, we are joined together with the common purpose to Praise, to Bless and to Preach in the Word and in the world.

St. Paul notes that all members are critical for the body to fully function. A part cannot survive when detached from the whole. Each needs the other, and the life blood of this whole body is the unconditional love of God.

Our commitment includes supporting one another, reaching out and drawing the best from each individual. We recognize that all people have been given special abilities by God and each affects the other. We bring our own gifts to the service of the Dominican community and world family collectively and individually.
